Hey, I'm the guy behind BeerLeague.net
A beer league hockey player who got tired of scattered Facebook posts, endless Google searches, and having no central place to find tournaments and teams. So I built a platform to connect us all.
My Story
The Hockey Player
I've been playing beer league hockey for over 3 years. Like most of you, I know the struggle: trying to find tournaments to join, scrolling through endless Facebook groups, asking around for leads, searching Google with no luck. Tournament info is scattered everywhere – some organizers post on Facebook, others on random websites, many don't even have an online presence. There's no centralized place where players, teams, and organizers can connect.
The Developer
By day, I'm a software developer who loves solving problems with code. After years of hunting for tournaments across Facebook groups, websites, and word of mouth, I realized what was missing: a central hub where players can discover tournaments, teams can find competitions, and organizers can promote their events. A place where the entire beer league community can connect.
Why I Built This
The breaking point? Missing out on a tournament because I didn't see the Facebook post. Watching organizers struggle to get teams because there's no central place to promote events. Seeing great tournaments die because players simply don't know they exist.
BeerLeague.net isn't just about managing teams – it's about connecting the entire beer league ecosystem. Players can discover tournaments without endless searching. Teams can find competitions that fit their schedule. Organizers can reach their audience without relying on social media algorithms. Finally, a centralized place for the beer league community.
Built for the Community
This isn't some corporate solution built by people who've never searched for a tournament at 11 PM or missed a registration deadline. This is a platform built by someone who lives the problem, for everyone who's tired of information being scattered across a dozen Facebook groups and forgotten websites. One place. One community. All the tournaments, leagues, and teams you're looking for.
Still Have Questions?
I'm always happy to chat with fellow players about the platform, hockey, or just about anything beer league related.
You can usually find me on the ice Tuesday nights at the local rink, or behind my computer working on the next feature for the platform.
