No more chasing e-transfers. Tournament organizers on BeerLeague.net can now collect registration fees by card — teams pay when they sign up.

The Problem Every Tournament Organizer Knows

You've set up the tournament. You've got 12 teams confirmed. Now comes the part nobody signed up for: chasing payments. E-transfers that were "sent last night" but never arrived. Captains who promise to pay "before the first game." A spreadsheet that's always out of date.

If you've organized a beer league tournament, you know this routine. It's the least fun part of running an event — and it eats hours of your time every single tournament.

Card Payments Are Now Built In

Starting today, tournament organizers on BeerLeague.net can accept card payments directly on the platform. When a team registers for your tournament, they can pay their registration fee right there — no separate invoice, no e-transfer, no follow-up.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe and go straight to your bank account. You see who's paid and who hasn't in your organizer dashboard, in real time.

How It Works

Setting up payments takes a few minutes. Here's the process:

  1. Connect your Stripe account. If you don't have one, you'll be guided through creating one. Stripe handles all the compliance and security so you don't have to.
  2. Enable payments on your tournament. Head to your tournament settings and flip the switch.
  3. Set your registration fee.Choose a fee name (e.g., "Registration Deposit"), the amount, and the currency. You can charge per team or per player.
  4. Share your tournament link. Send the link to any team that wants to pay by card. They can register and pay in one visit.
  5. Teams pay after registration is approved. After a team's tournament registration is approved by you, they see a "Pay" button on the tournament page. One click takes them to a secure Stripe checkout.
  6. Track who's paid. See an overview of all registered teams with payment status — paid or still pending — right in your tournament dashboard.

That's it. No spreadsheets, no awkward DMs, no "I'll send it tomorrow."

Per-Team or Per-Player Fees

Every tournament is different. Some charge a flat fee per team. Others charge per player — especially common for showcase events or tournaments where roster size varies.

BeerLeague.net supports both. When you set up a per-player fee, the team captain enters their player count at checkout and the total is calculated automatically. You can see the player count alongside payment status in your teams table.

Simple Pricing

You set the registration fee. A small platform fee is added on top to cover payment processing and platform costs — so you receive the full amount you set. Teams see the total before they pay, no surprises.

Prefer to absorb the platform fee yourself so teams pay the exact price you advertise? There's a toggle for that in your tournament settings.

Your Dashboard, At a Glance

Once payments are enabled, your organizer dashboard shows everything you need:

  • Payment status badges next to every registered team — Paid, Pending, or Awaiting.
  • Player counts for per-player fees — the number each team captain entered at checkout.
  • "Payments enabled" badge on your tournament cards, visible in both the dashboard and the manager list.

No more cross-referencing bank statements with registration lists.
