Quick answers
Why don't I see real names on this page?
Player profiles aren't public to anonymous visitors — names, photos, and contact info are only visible after you sign up as a captain. This page shows aggregated stats and anonymized previews so you can see what's on offer before you commit.
Is it free to invite players?
Yes. Browsing player profiles, sending invites, and chatting with players is free for captains — no credit card required. Pro exists for captains who run multiple teams; most casual captains never need it.
How do players show up here?
A player joins Beerleague.net free, creates a profile, sets it to public, and toggles "Looking for a team". They appear in this pool and the dashboard discovery feed for captains in their city.
What if there are no players in my city yet?
List your team anyway — players see the team listings before signing up. Captains who pre-list get priority placement when players in their city join.
Short a skater for one game? Can I find a sub here?
Yes. Post a sub request with the position, puck drop and rink, free. Nearby players who are open to subbing get pinged, closest match first, and the net widens as the game gets closer. They claim the spot, you accept, done. No roster change needed.
How far will players travel?
Every profile states a home rink and how far the player will drive for a regular skate, and sub alerts respect that radius. You see the distance before you reach out, so a captain two towns over knows whether it is worth asking.
